The UK’s health secretary, Sajid Javid, announced a U-turn on the NHS vaccine mandate policy that will prevent the exodus of 80,000 health workers who were unwilling to get a Covid-19 jab.
The move came three days before the 3 February deadline that unvaccinated NHS workers who had face-to-face contact with patients had been given to have had their first dose or face dismissal
